Changelog Builder

Share your latest enhancements right within your platform using Jimo’s changelog. In this notice, we are going to set up the in-app changelog.

Before You Begin

Make sure Jimo is installed on your site. If you need assistance, find our installation guide .

Accessing the Builder

Navigate to the Builder from the dashboard to start crafting your changelog.

First time in the changelog

When creating a new changelog it will directly bring you to the builder to customize the frame before redacting your first post.

You'll have then to publish your first post to activate your changelog.

Do not forget to define a trigger to display your changelog.

Main Features

The Changelog Builder streamlines the process of keeping your users informed about important updates. By following the structured steps above, you can effectively customize the general aspects of your changelog, navigate and manage different sections, and access the post builder to publish engaging updates.

  • Start by ensuring you are in the Changelog Builder tab (A).

  • Use the Settings Panel (D) to adjust the , including behavior, general appearance, and call-to-action styles.

By default, the language will adapt to the user's browser settings if the translation is available, but you can force one language.

  • Use the Navigator (B) to switch between different sections of your changelog:

    • Customize the Navbar.

    • Manage the Post Feed Page.

    • Configure the Feedback Page.

  • If needed, click the Leave button (C) to return to the main dashboard.

Edit Parameters

  • In the Settings Panel (D), edit the parameters of the currently selected element from the Navigator. Adjust styles, behavior settings, and more.

  • Once you have customized the general aspects of your changelog, click Save (E).

  • Then, click Create Post (E) to move to the Post Builder, where you can add a new post to the feed page.

  • Continuously check the Live Preview (F) to see a real-time view of your changelog and ensure that your changes are visually appealing and correctly formatted.

  • Select a theme that aligns with your brand. Choose CTA's fonts and colors to create a consistent user experience across your changelog.
