Adding and Managing Blocks
Your posts in the Changelog can be dynamic and informative by utilizing various blocks. Each post can comprise one or more blocks, allowing you to share announcements with diverse pieces of information.
To add a block element:
Click the "+" icon.
Choose the type of block that aligns with your communication needs.
Types of Blocks
Label: Clearly tag and categorize information.
Profile: Introduce your changelog posts with a team member profile, this option allow you to get a human touch when announcing a new feature or improvement.
CTA (Call to Action): Add a CTA button to Prompt specific actions to your users.
Comments: Create engagement and a sense of community by allowing users to leave comments.
Likes: Get user sentiment with a simple liking mechanism.
Enhance your communication by experimenting with different block types to suit the content and style of your announcements.
Here’s a detailed guide to the editable blocks and markdown features available:
Post Title and Author (A)
Author Information: Displays the author’s name and title.
Title Field (B): Enter the title of your post.
Post Status (C)
Status Dropdown: Choose the status of your post (e.g., New, Updated).
Formatting Toolbar (D)
Paragraph Style: Select different styles for your text such as paragraph, headings, etc.
Text Formatting:
Bold (B): Make your text bold.
Italic (I): Italicize your text.
Underline (U): Underline your text.
Strikethrough (S): Strike through your text.
Lists:
Bulleted List: Create a list with bullet points.
Numbered List: Create a list with numbers.
Alignment:
Left Align: Align text to the left.
Center Align: Center align text.
Right Align: Align text to the right.
Insert Link: Add hyperlinks to your text.
Media Embedding (5MB size limit.):
Insert Image: Embed images in your post.
Insert Video: Embed videos in your post.
Emojis: Add emojis to your text for better engagement.
Content Area (E)
Text Area: Write and format your content using the toolbar. Add lists, links, images, videos, and more to enrich your posts.
Call to Action (CTA) Button (F)
CTA Button: Add and customize a Call to Action button at the end of your post.
Button Text: Customize the text of the button.
Button Style: Adjust the background color, text color, and other styling options.
