# Intercom

Add Jimo to your Intercom Messenger home, so customers see your latest updates and leave feedback without starting a conversation.

The Intercom integration adds Jimo as an app on your Intercom Messenger home. Customers who open the Messenger see your latest updates and can leave feedback, without messaging your team.

## What it does

* Adds a Jimo app to the Intercom Messenger home.
* Shows your latest published updates, and lets customers leave feedback that lands in Jimo.
* Does not hand conversations over: for that, use [Escalation](/docs/experiences/agent/escalation.md).

## Before you start

* An Intercom workspace with the Messenger installed.
* Access to the Intercom Messenger settings.
* A Jimo role with access to the Integrations settings. See [Integration setup](/docs/integrations/integration-setup.md).

### Connect Intercom in Jimo

In [Settings > Integrations](https://i.usejimo.com/settings/integrations), hover the Intercom card, click **Enable**, then connect your Intercom account from the setup page.

### Add the Jimo app to the Messenger home

In Intercom, open the Messenger setup page and add the Jimo app.

## What customers see

When customers open the Messenger, the Jimo app shows your latest updates and a way to leave feedback. The feedback lands in Jimo.

## Verify

Open your Messenger as a customer would. The Jimo app appears on the home and shows your latest published updates.

## Limits

#### Messenger home only

The app lives on the Messenger home. It does not read Intercom conversations or user data.
