Connect an AI assistant

Link Claude, Cursor, or another MCP-compatible assistant to your Jimo project. The whole flow takes about two minutes.

Step 1: Copy the MCP Endpoint URL

From your Jimo dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations → Model Context Protocol. The MCP Endpoint card shows the URL to use. Click Copy.

Step 2: Add the Connector in Your Assistant

Claude (web or desktop)

  1. Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.

  2. Paste the URL and confirm. Do not use the manual configuration option.

Claude Code

Run:

Then run /mcp, select jimo, and choose Authenticate.

Cursor and other clients

Add a remote MCP server with the URL in the client's MCP settings.

Step 3: Sign In to Jimo

Your browser opens on a Jimo sign-in page. If you are already signed in, you go straight to the approval page.

Step 4: Choose the Project

The approval page says which assistant is asking and lets you pick one project.

Step 5: Choose What the Assistant Can Access

Four permissions are offered: Read project data and analytics, Manage Experiences, Teach my Jimo Agent, and Build and run my Jimo Agent. Untick the ones you do not need, you can add them later by connecting again.

Permissions & Safety details what each permission unlocks.

Step 6: Approve

The browser hands control back to the assistant, and the Jimo tools appear in it. Ask your first question, for example: "How is the project doing this month?"

Connecting Again, or Connecting Another Project

Connecting the same assistant a second time never removes access. If you already granted some permissions, the page says so and lists what approving would add. If nothing new is requested, approving simply reconnects.

To work with a second project, add the same URL again and pick the other project on the approval page. Each connection works with one project at a time.

This is also how an assistant connected before October 7, 2026 gets Build and run my Jimo Agent: connect again, and approve the new permission.
