MCP

Connect Claude, Cursor, or another AI assistant to your Jimo project and work with it in plain language.

What Jimo MCP Is?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor, and ChatGPT use tools from other products. Jimo's MCP server gives your assistant a set of Jimo tools, so you can work with your project from the chat window you already use.

Every connection is tied to one Jimo project and to your Jimo account. The assistant can only see what your role in that project lets you see, and it can only change what you let it change when you connect.

What You Can Do

  • 📊 Get insights Ask how the project is doing: what is live, which tours perform, where new users stall, what people answered in surveys, and what the in-app Jimo Agent failed to answer.

  • 🚀 Operate Draft a changelog post, banner, or modal from a few lines of text, review it, translate it, publish it to the right environments, pause something that broke, or point a survey at a segment.

  • 🎓 Teach Give the Jimo Agent new knowledge: save a question and answer pair, train it on your help center or Zendesk, refresh a docs crawl after a release, or import documents your assistant can already read (Google Docs, Notion pages).

  • 🤖 Build and run the agent Map your product's screens, write and test skills, set launcher suggestions and settings, put the agent live, and review how it does once people use it.

Before You Start

  1. A Jimo project with an active plan. Tool calls are unavailable on a project without a subscription.

  2. Integrations access in your Jimo role. Connecting an assistant, and creating API keys, requires the same permission as the Integrations settings page. A member without it sees the connection refused at the approval step.

  3. An assistant that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in. Claude (web, desktop, and Claude Code), Cursor, and any other client that lets you add a custom connector by URL and signs in through the browser.

You do not need an API key to use Jimo from Claude or Cursor. Keys are only for scripts and bots that run without a browser. See API Keys for Automations.

How to Access

From your Jimo dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations → Model Context Protocol. The MCP Endpoint card shows the URL to paste into your assistant, and the API Keys card manages access for automations.
