Install the Chrome extension
Build, position and preview experiences on your own app today. Only publishing waits for the snippet.
The extension loads Jimo on any page you open in Chrome, as if the snippet were already installed. With it you build, position and preview experiences on your own application today. Only publishing waits for Step 4. Five minutes.
You will have at the end: the Jimo builder opening on top of your own app.

Install it
Get the extension
Open Get Started in the sidebar, expand 2. Install Jimo Chrome Extension, click Install extension. Or get it from the Chrome Web Store.

The extension is tied to your Chrome profile, not to your Jimo account: each team member who builds installs it on their own browser.
What it lets you do

Edit in app: from any experience, open the builder on top of your real screens to position steps and hints on real elements. See In-app builder.
Preview: run a draft on your app as a user would see it, step by step. See Preview.
Record your own navigation so the AI builder generates a tour from it. See AI builder.
What it does not do
Publish
An experience published while only the extension is in place shows to you alone. Your users need the snippet, Step 4.
Load on another browser
Edge, Firefox, Safari and Arc are not supported for building. Your users can be on any browser once the snippet is installed.
Get past a strict Content Security Policy
If your app blocks third-party scripts, the extension is blocked too. See When the extension does not load.
Verify
Open your application in Chrome, logged in as you normally are. From the dashboard, open any draft in the Onboarding Space and click Edit in app. Your app loads with the Jimo side panel over it. If it does not, see When the extension does not load.
